The first photograph ever taken.

The first photograph ever was taken by frenchmen Joseph Nicéphore Niépce between 1826 and 1827. It was taken in Le Gras in the Burgundy region of France.
The photo has been displayed in several cities since it was taken, but is today displayed in the Reiss Englehorn Museum in Mannheim, Germany.

I think it's an incredible photo, considering that it was taken in the 1820s. I like the different shades of gray and I also like that the photo has both softer transitions from black to white, and a sharper edge in the middle of the photo.
